Charlotte/Douglas International Airport popularly known as CLT is a major airport located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This airport is better recognized as a civil-military airport. After Dallas/Fort Worth, CLT is the second-largest hub for American Airlines. CLT Airport was established in the year 1935. It was named Charlotte Municipal Airport. Later in the year 1982, the airport received its new name which is Charlotte/Douglas International Airport. Charlotte Airport offers non-stop flight service to 178 domestic and international destinations. As per the survey done in 2019, CLT is the busiest airport in the United States in terms of passenger traffic. It also ranks 5th in terms of aircraft movements. The airport is identified as a major gateway to the Caribbean Islands. It is a huge airport covering an area of 5,558 acres.

Concourse A has 22 gates and is currently used by airlines like Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, United, Contour Airlines, Air Canada and American Airlines for arrival and departure of their flights to domestic and international destinations. American flights use concourse B for arrival and departure of their flights. It was started in 1982 and has 16 gates. Admirals Club is the main feature of this concourse. American Eagle operates flights from concourse C. Concourse D is used for arrival and departure of international flights and it has 13 gates. American Airlines use this concourse for some domestic flights. Concourse E is solely used by American Eagle. It has 46 gates and this major airline operates more than 340 flights on a daily basis.
